Justice Erikson, ND

Justice Erikson, ND

Justice Erikson, ND, is a licensed naturopathic physician in Seattle, Washinton. Dr. Justice provides whole-person care for people of all genders, neurotypes, and life experiences. Their work is rooted in integrity and social justice. Dr. Justice works collaboratively with patients to identify the tools their bodies need to heal. They utilize a mix of naturopathic and conventional modalities as needed and preferred by patients including botanical medicine, nutrition, therapeutic bodywork, pharmaceutical prescriptions, homeopathy, and counseling.

Dr. Justice has a clinical interest in complex chronic illnesses that may have been previously overlooked or dismissed in a patient’s care. Dr. Justice focuses on deeply listening and working hard to bring together pieces of a patient’s story into a unified whole that can reveal the root cause of symptoms that may have been resistant to previous treatment or gone unaddressed. Dr. Justice sees themself as a facilitator of a person’s healing journey and prioritizes patient goals and preferences when building a treatment plan. Additionally, Dr. Justice is passionate about teaching, and their favorite principle of Naturopathic medicine is Docere – “Doctor as Teacher”. They believe that every patient should be empowered with the knowledge of how their body functions, and that this knowledge is integral to a patient’s ability to take ownership of their health.

Their interest in naturopathic medicine stemmed from experiencing a rare life-threatening condition in childhood and watching their family members battle complex autoimmune diseases for decades without relief despite utilizing the best treatments that conventional care had to offer. They felt that there must be a better way to make sense of these illnesses. The goal of Naturopathic medicine is not just to identify what the diagnosis is, but why it developed, and how to heal the root cause.

Dr. Justice attended Hamphire College in Amherst, Massachusetts for their undergraduate studies, where they wrote a year-long thesis and designed a laboratory study on chronic Lyme disease. They went on to study at Bastyr University and received their ND (Naturopathic Doctor) degree. They are presently completing a Masters degree in Social Work through Fordham University.

While in medical school, Dr. Justice completed specialized training in Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and homeopathy. They also completed specialized clinical rotations in environmental medicine, digestive wellness, counseling, botanical medicine, research, and community medicine. Dr. Justice has served in many professional leadership positions, including President and Legislative Chair for the Naturopathic Medical Students Association, on the Board of Directors of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, organizer for Trans Awareness Month events at Bastyr University, etc. They received the Rising Star Award from the Naturopathic Medical Student Association International during their time as a student.
